Sulking in Verses

Of The Great Big Web

Posted in Prose by Catherine Patacsil on July 17, 2010

Our beliefs are like the spiders’ web, and we are the spiders.

We navigate through life, holding on to our convictions.

We go as far as we can weave these beliefs, and yet the very same beliefs limit our direction.

We are caught in the web of life, and we constantly try to expand our view of the world. It is of no surprise that we complain about getting tired.

Our web captures others, flies we call preys… But never do we realize that we are the first caught on our own.

Brilliant as it is, that the spider creates an understanding of the world through these strings he makes himself. Yet he has suspended himself, in space, he knows absolutely nothing of.

We are spiders pretending to conquer the world by entangling us in our own.
